Japanese Delegation visited to COD!
There are 4 college personnel from Yamaguchi Prefectual University came to COD to learn about academic field studies programs as well as interdisciplinary course offering which they are plan to developing. Their English professor (as also a international program coordinator) wrote and spoke perfect Japanese and he played a role of interpreter of his group. They didn't expect too much from us since this visit was just an addition of their departure day, but it turned out to be the best day! Why? Because of GTS, of course! (GTS is too much Americanized and forgot to be modest!) Hopefully future GTS trip to Japan may visit their school and several historical sites around it! JAPAN 2201 first test was over and it was as evil as usual GTS test! Never give up, folks! Future is yours!

試験について、何パーセントぐらいがたえた?(絶/耐)
Everyone must have put up with it. The question will remain how many will survive at the end. I certainly hope everyone will. -GTS
Shingo!!! Class on Monday was very difficult but lots of fun! I will have to study extra hard so I can do a better job of keeping up!
On Friday last week, an American Delegation visited Anderson Garden in Rockford to view nature, Japanese artifacts and architecture. This delegation was not nearly as exalted as the four personnel who visited COD, this delegation was just Elizabeth and me! It was beautiful and very peaceful and we spent about 3 hours wandering around. I put a few pictures up at my flicker page here. A highly recommended trip!
Espescially when recommended by GTS! Thank you for the suggestion!
YES, Anderson Garden is by far the best Japanese garden I have visited. I am glad you had a chance to go. I recommend you to visit again in Spring! -GTS
Never fear Sensei, one evil test is not enough to scare me off.... two evil tests and a few evil kanji quizzes.... maybe....
The more "evil" you gain, the more fun you have in the Japanese class. Let's make "evil' become our buddy! -GTS
